Crappie & Bream
Crappie steadily moving into deeper water on creek chanels and brush piles.. Bream and shellcracker are being caught in 12 feet of water in the Canal with night crawlers (cut in small pieces)
Catfish
The catfish are still biting, even better with this cool weather. time to fill the freezer.
Check this 95 lb catfish caught on 8/4/2013 by Kenney Morris.Catfishing is fantastic and wide open, best its been this year. Unbelievable catches coming to the scales. Don't miss out. The Canal has turned on with everyone filling their coolers, drifting and bumping the bottom seems to work the best. Cut herring seems to be the choice of baits, but from what I'm hearing everything seems to be working.
. The Canal has turned on wiith big catches, The feast will only get better with the next growing moon. The fishing is really turning on, the warm weather has finally arrived.
Bass
Top water baits and swimbaits are turning on with some furocious explosive bites,
Stripers
Season is open October 1st good catches have been coming in and the fish are schooling.
